History of MG.

MG started back in 1924 as Morris Garages Limited, founded by Cecil Kimber, and was made famous by M.G. Car Company Limited with its sports cars. It is now owned by the Chinese state-owned automaker SAIC Motor.

In the 1920s Morris Garages, belonging to William Morris, and with his business's manager, Cecil Kimber, they modified standard production Morris Oxfords. As part of this modification they added 'MG Super Sports' 

MG went through many ownersip change over the years, starting in July 1930 when M.G. Car Company Limited was incorporated, temporarilly ending in 2005 when MG Rover group went into receivership. Production of MG vehicles restarted in 2007 under Chinese ownership.
